10TH BIRTHDAY BASH

Taking place on Saturday 3rd December 2022, 1-10pm. This is a call out to environmental & community organisations, creatives & activists to take part.                       • Working in the green sector - bring flyers, or provide a talk?• Part of a network that supports the environment - Invite your group along? • Consider running a workshop, swap shop or co-design activity?                        If you have any suggestions, we’d love to hear from you. You can contact us with a proposal (a few sentences about your idea) before 22nd of Nov 2022. Get in touch: remakeryevents@gmail.com or mark@remakery.org                        Description of the event                        The Remakery 10th Birthday bash is a perfect opportunity for a party with a purpose. A chance for people in the sector to get together, to develop ideas about how our community can explore net zero together.                        The purpose of this party is to reflect on our involvement in the wider topic of climate change - what can we do individually and collaboratively and what does climate justice look like.                        Action at home or in the workplace is not easy and is particularly difficult for many on low income. Strength in community comes from sharing information. We are stronger working together and finding solutions that benefit all of us!                        Understanding the purpose                        Successive governments severely struggle to make society greener and fairer, and make our homes more energy efficient. No longer should we simply rely on people in power to deal with these issues - opportunities and solutions need to be explored and built from the ground up.                        What will the day look like?                      The day will be divided into two parts, the afternoon with talks and workshops and the evening to be inspired, network and have fun. Everyone will be free to get involved in any of the sessions. The Remakery has plenty of space for stalls or to showcase a small exhibition or project.
